Don’t You Hate It When You Have Trouble Bonding with Your Step-Son and Also He’s the Antichrist?

Tucker and Dale vs. Evil director Eli Craig’s new Netflix film is a comedic retelling of The Omen and a reflection on the frustrations and challenges of becoming a step-dad, especially when your step-child happens to be the antichrist from your new wife’s past as a member of a doomsday cult. You know, relatable family stuff.

Children are horrid little monsters already, but when that child communicates through a goat puppet in a voice that can only be described as the sound of the damned? Hoooo boy. It probably doesn’t help either when your wife doesn’t respond well to your fear, insisting that her kid is just “particular” and definitely not an entity raised from hell to bring the end of the world for mankind. Women, amiright?

Starring Adam Scott as Gary, Evangeline Lilly as his wife Samantha, and Owen Atlas as creepy step-son Lucas, Little Evil looks like it’ll include many beloved horror tropes from the children’s party that goes awry (clown on fire), the Poltergeist television, and a corn field (“What good thing has ever happened in a cornfield?!”). The cast also includes Clancy Brown, Tyler Labine, Donald Faison, Chris D’Elia, and Bridget Everett.

Little Evil comes to Netflix September 1st. Are you going to check it out?
