This pilot for a Jim Henson helmed Wizard of Id television show (you know, that strip with the short king, the drunk jester, and the wizard with a fat, nagging wife) shows the one thing that The Muppets and daily newspaper strips have in common: relentless waves of bad puns. Except in film, you can punctuate every bad pun with a musical kick.
But, as noted by the Wizard, it does adhere to one of the cardinal rules Jim Henson gave to his writers: if you don’t know how to end a sequence, do one of two things: Have one character eat the other, or blow everything up.
