In an almost impressive (but ultimately just embarrassing) display of stubbornness, Roy Moore still refuses to concede the Alabama Senate race. Nine days after his loss, he’s still holding out hope that he’ll be able to sneak his way into office. He’s been sharing articles on his Facebook page–which, by the way, still reads “Judge Roy Moore for U.S. Senate”–about voter fraud and those darn “Muslims and Marxists” that voted for Doug Jones.
Clearly, becoming a United States Senator was Roy Moore's retirement plan. He does not appear to have prepared an alternate plan. https://t.co/eipS7bsG38

But he also posted another article (since removed) that was clearly meant to be a jab at Jones: an interview with his son, who is gay.

The thing is, pointing out the fact that someone has a gay son is only embarrassing or insulting if you’re a bigoted trash monster. Which, of course, Roy Moore very much is.

We all want Roy Moore to just disappear forever, but if he refuses to stop doing horrible things, Twitter is going to keep making fun of him for it.
Roy Moore: “I was flipping through The Advocate the other day.”
Staffer (does he still have staffers?): “Sir, that’s, uh, a gay magazine.”
Moore: “That’s neither here nor there.”— Chris “Law Dork” Geidner (@chrisgeidner) December 21, 2017

And if you don't want to characterize that RT of an Advocate article as an attack on Doug Jones' son (and gay people writ large), then ask yourself: why else would ROY MOORE be pushing it on his Facebook page? Who do you think his audience is?

I know homophobic old white men are gonna keep on keeping on, and that Roy Moore literally doesn’t know how to appeal to anyone not in the bigot base. But a majority of Alabama voters heard his racist, homophobic (and otherwise troubling) bullshit and responded with a resounding “no thank you.”
Moore is blaming gays, Muslims, liberals, and people of color for his loss, and calling that proof that his loss is invalid. Because Roy Moore still cannot get it through his 70-year-old skull that all those people? They’re not fraudulent voters. They’re fucking Americans. And they’re not insulted by their own identities.
