Dreams Do Come True: Gina Rodriguez May Be Playing Stephanie Beatriz’s Girlfriend on Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Rosa’s coming out on Brooklyn Nine-Nine has been one of the best bisexual storylines on television in forever. So we have all been waiting to see who exactly will be playing her girlfriend. Now, the queers gods have heard our prayers and it has been suggested that Gina Rodrguez will be playing the role.

Excuse me while I cry/scream into my pillow.

This is an amazing bit of casting not only because Gina Rodriguez is an amazing actress, but also because this means we will have a queer Latinx couple on screen! It is rare to see something like that on network television and I’m so excited that Brooklyn Nine-Nine has continued to completely slay when it comes to guest-casting.

While the role has not officially been confirmed by Fox, an Instagram post (that has now been deleted) by Terry Crews showed a picture from the set of the show with him, Stephanie Beatriz and Gina Rodriguez. Which was all it took for TV Line to say yeah, this is probably happening.

Golden Globe winner Gina Rodriguez is set to guest-star in an episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine when the Fox comedy resumes its season later this spring.
