Jordan Peele is only the third person in history to ever be nominated for Best Original Screenplay, Best Director, and Best Picture in the same evening. Well, he’s now one-third of the way to that unique triple-crown.

One of the best things about Get Out was the unique use of horror film tropes to examine race in America, and in his acceptance speech for his script, he talks about the fact that he stopped writing the film several times, because he was convinced that no one would want to help him make this movie and put it out in the world.

Well, thank goodness he kept on keeping on, because he ended up writing one of the most important films of 2017. Congratulations, Mr. Peele! We are all about this big win!
