Serious question here: Is anyone excited about Ready Player One? A series of posters were released today, and they combine the book’s incessant reference dropping with the movie’s bland VR character design, producing what seems to be a convincing campaign in favor of not seeing the film.

Basically, this movie is laying claim to everything you’ve ever loved.

I don’t believe any modern movie can actually retroactively destroy anyone’s childhood, but these posters sure are trying. You can see even more over at /Film.

  • Emma Watson sported a large (fake) tattoo reading “Times Up” and the internet was not here for that missing apostrophe.

What did you all see out there today?
