Via TotalFilm by way of CBR, we are given the gift of gazing upon our clearest view yet of Team Cap joining T’Challa, Okoye, the Dora Milaje, and other brave Wakandan warriors.
We’ve known for a while that Wakanda is the site of at least one major Infinity War showdown (seeming to involve Thanos’ Outriders, and possibly as-yet-unknown henchmen/women, or maybe even the mad purple titan himself). This glorious line of heroism is one of the best glimpses we’ve gotten at these badass allies gathered together.
Some thoughts: T’Challa, I know I saw you last weekend again, but it’s already been too long. Okoye, as T’Challa’s right hand, is looking fierce and ready for anything and I can’t wait to see her in action and blowing the Avengers’ minds with her fighting prowess. Steve doesn’t appear to have his new gauntlet/shields here yet, but I am loving that Cap costume stripped of its stars and stripes. Hello, Nomad.
Bucky, however, did come armed for a fight, and this gives us an eyeful of his new, Wakandan-made metal arm; he’s also wearing a dark blue jacket for the first time in a long time, a jacket that has echoes of his original The First Avenger costume. Is that Natasha’s new truncheon on her hip? Why do I suddenly really hope Shuri designed it? Fans of Bucky/Nat may also be pleased to find them finally standing next to each other with no punches thrown!
And is my guy Sam Wilson flying somewhere overhead? Not pictured: my other guy M’Baku, but we know from the trailers that he’s here.
