The Thirteenth Doctor has finally landed! The eleventh season of Doctor Who is here, with the much anticipated premiere of Jodie Whittaker in the titular role. Ever since it was announced that the newest incarnation of the Doctor would be female, fans have flipped out (mostly in a positive way, but trolls abound, as they always do). Whittaker takes over for the previous Doctor, Peter Capaldi, with an all new cast of companions in Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole, and Mandip Gill, plus a new showrunner in Chris Chibnall (Broadchurch).

Viewers have quickly taken to social media to express their feelings on the premiere episode, titled “The Woman Who Fell to Earth”, and the response has been almost universally positive, with fans lauding the cinematography, the uplifting spirit of the show, and Whittaker’s luminous performance.
