Today marks the third annual Women’s March, as women and men from across the globe come together to rally for equal rights and the rights of women. Thousands of people took to the streets to celebrate the #WomensWave, this year’s rallying cry for inclusivity and equity for all.

Recently, the Women’s March has become mired in controversy, after allegations of anti-Semitism, which caused many sponsors to abandon the march. However, many still took to the streets alongside counter-protests, and the leaders of the Women’s March assured attendees that they spoke for all women of all backgrounds.

Tamika Mallory, who came under fire for her support of Louis Farrakhan, said to the crowd, “To my Muslim sisters, I see you, to my Latina sisters, I see you. To my Asian sisters, I see you. To my disabled sisters, I see you. And to my Jewish sisters: Do not let anyone tell you who I am. I see all of you.”

With the Women’s March comes a whole new batch of protest signs, showcasing the creativity, humor, and heart of the marchers. Here are some of our favorite signs from today’s march.

Chelsea was born and raised in New Orleans, which explains her affinity for cheesy grits and Britney Spears. An pop culture journalist since 2012, her work has appeared on Autostraddle, AfterEllen, and more. Her beats include queer popular culture, film, television, republican clownery, and the unwavering belief that 'The Long Kiss Goodnight' is the greatest movie ever made. She currently resides in sunny Los Angeles, with her husband, 2 sons, and one poorly behaved rescue dog. She is a former roller derby girl and a black belt in Judo, so she is not to be trifled with. She loves the word “Jewess” and wishes more people used it to describe her.
