These ‘Morbius’ Memes Are More Entertaining Than the Film Itself

'Morbius' may be terrible, but these jokes aren't.

How do you solve a problem like Morbius? Sony’s latest half-baked Marvel entry has finally hit theaters after years of delays and false starts. And the resulting film is, well, not great. Critics gave Morbius a 15 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, savaging the unoriginal and uninspired vampire tale. Sony’s Marvel films have always paled in comparison to the far superior Marvel cinematic universe, but at least Venom had a crazy, go-for-broke energy about it that was entertaining. (Much of that success is owed to Tom Hardy’s performance.) Morbius simply lies there like a wet noodle, offering nothing of note.

Morbius is the kind of high profile flop that grabs ahold of the internet, generating savage memes and jokes from across the globe. Truth be told, we haven’t had a universally panned film the likes of Morbius since Cats, which inspired a subgenre of dunks and internet jokes. At least no one will be campaigning for the butthole cut of Morbius, right guys? Here’s some of our favorite Morbius tweets, jokes, and memes currently making the rounds on the internet. And trust me when I tell you, these are far more entertaining than the film itself.
