While not everything hits as hard as Zola, Mianri, Ramy, Ziwe, and Everything Everywhere All at Once (just to name a few), A24 has remained one of my favorite film/TV production and distribution companies. It’s a roll of the dice in terms of genre and tone, but the independent film company has produced/distributed some of my favorite movies by creative directors. While A24 features talented nepotism babies, many newer directors, especially those of marginalized backgrounds, have also cultivated great success under the indie studio. Directors like Janicza Bravo, Ari Aster, and Lulu Wang are among my favorites.
Knowing that, I was ecstatic to learn that A24 recently reopened access to its A24 membership program. Entitled AAA24, it stands for All Access A24 and serves as a place for its most devoted fans who also have some spare cash for movie doodads (or “collectibles” if you’re feeling fancy). Let’s get into what comes with the membership and how to join. (If it’s even still open as you’re reading this.)
AAA24 perks
A handful of digital and physical goodies come with the membership. One such digital-ish item includes special access to A24 merch. Sometimes it’s early access, exclusive members’ merch and discounts during monthly member sales. If you are willing to pay for this membership, it’s likely you already spend the amount that would net you savings like discounts. Other digital features include access to Close Friends circle on A24’s Instagram and something called VIP Treatment. The blurb reads: “…additional perks will be revealed, like priority access to IRL events, concierge customer service, free movie popcorn (!?), and more.”
Confirmed physical benefits of the membership include four A24 zines mailed to you a year, a birthday gift, and a membership pin. While limited edition A24 zines often get marketed on the store site, this membership ensures you will get a copy. The current zine (from Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert) is themed around Tax Season in coordination with Everything Everywhere All at Once.

How do I Join?
I know I just gave you all the reasons you might want to join, but this next bit isn’t an easy answer. The membership opens for an indeterminate amount of time, randomly. Sometimes, somewhere, every so often, if you will. Some learned of this on the A24 Twitter. I found out because I’m on their newsletter. Even being pretty limited on my spending on their store, I’ve bought stickers, The Green Knight fantasy role-playing game, and the shimmering hardcover edition of The Story by A’Zaih King (a.k.a. Zola‘s tweets with stylized typography).

The membership might be open for longer now, as it has a tab on the main A24 website, but don’t count on that. If you can get in, the membership is $5/$9.99 a month (the U.S. vs. international) or $55/$99 for a year.
