You may have marveled at the original Minecraft aquarium, but it had one problematic flaw. Because the fish were simply items sitting inside the cubes, they could easily be stolen or disappear on their own. In the video above, YouTube user BrowsOfSteel cleverly solves that problem by adding pistons and dispensers to his automatic restocking aquarium. Interestingly, the aquarium “knows” when to restock itself because behind the tank is another dispenser that drops a fish onto a pressure plate. When that fish’s time runs out and it vanishes, it triggers the restocker and so on and so forth. A truly elegant and ingenius solution.
