This audio clip autostarts so we’re putting it after the jump. But really, would anyone mind a little surprise Benedict Cumberbatch?

Cumberbatch plays Islington in the audio adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s TV series/novel Neverwhere and acts alongside James McAvoy, Natalie Dormer, Anthony Head and Christopher Lee (check out a cast photo!). It will have its premiere on BBC’s Radio 4 this Saturday and continue on Radio 4 Extra Monday-Friday.

If only listen isn’t enough, and I’m sure it won’t be, take a tip from the Radio Times: “For an extra-eerie effect, open this page in two (or more) windows and start the clip playing for a second time, say 15/20 seconds after the first one has started (the more windows you open, the weirder it gets…)”
