We’re both super-excited about the upcoming TV adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale from Hulu, and afraid that, in these times, it might hit a little too close to home. Still, we’ll definitely be watching. Today, another tidbit has been released ahead of the spring premiere: a first glimpse of Alexis Bledel and information on what character she’ll be playing.

As reported by Vulture, Bledel will play the role of Ofglen, a handmaid companion to Elisabeth Moss’s Offred. She’s a character who, at first, seems very loyal to the regime, but turns out to be a confidant to Offred, and totally subversive. This cast of amazing women just seems to get more and more badass with every announcement and photo!

The 10-episode series follows Moss’s Offred as she secretly searches for her daughter, who was taken from her when the totalitarian regime took over. We still have a bit of a wait, however. The Handmaid’s Tale premieres on Hulu on April 26. Will you be watching?
