We’ve been really excited about AMC’s upcoming adaptation of the Garth Ennis/Steve Dillon Vertigo title Preacher, which is coming to AMC next month thanks to Executive Producers Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Sam Catlin. Now, AMC is prepared to offer the most excited fans the chance to attend one of four advance screenings of the Preacher premiere. They just…don’t know where they’re going to be yet. Want one of those screenings to be where you live? Here’s how you can help make that happen.
Visit the Preacher Pop-Up Screenings website, where you can keep up with all announcements related to to the screenings. Basically, if you want Preacher to come to where you live, you need to hit up social media using #PreacherFanScreenings and express your Preacher fandom! Do you do some kick-ass cosplay? Fan art? Are you just hilarious and can rock some quality Preacher-related puns? Whatever it is you do, now’s your time to shine! As Seth Rogen says in the video above, “The most enthusiastic posts will get [their] attention.” So, now’s not the time to be shy!
Then, check the site every Sunday starting April 24th, when they’ll announce a new city that will be getting a screening. Then, at 10AM Eastern every Sunday, tickets will be available for that city’s screening, so if you want in you’ve gotta be quick. They’ll be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
According to an AMC press release, EVP of Marketing for AMC/Sundance TV, Linda Schupack is excited about getting the show out to fans in this way: “We can’t wait to give comic book superfans, who have been eagerly awaiting an adaptation of this property, the opportunity to see Preacher before its official premiere on AMC. These early screenings are a great way for us to provide a special experience for the legions of loyal and enthusiastic fans and, we hope, turn them into evangelizers, telling their friends to check out the show when it premieres.”
