Amma Asante is one of the most compelling directors out there right now, and her most recent film, A United Kingdom (starring David Oyelowo and Rosamund Pike) will be available on Blu-ray and DVD next week. To celebrate, we have an exclusive clip that you can check out above!
In this TMS Exclusive clip from a featurette on the Blu-ray/DVD of the film, Asante is celebrated by her cast and peers as she becomes the first black, female director to ever open the London Film Festival. A United Kingdom cast members Oyelowo, Pike, and Terry Pheto, as well as Suffragette director Sarah Gavron all chime in to talk about Asante as a director, as an awesome human, and as an inspiration.
A United Kingdom is currently available on Digital HD and out on Blu-ray and DVD June 6th.
