Andrew Garfield‘s really taking this whole superhero thing to heart. He and Emma Stone, upon finding themselves stalked happened upon (what a crazy random happenstance!) by paparazzi while enjoying nice lunch in New York City over the weekend, took advantage of the cameras pointed their way to put some good vibes out into the universe, whipping up a pair of cardboard signs to support charity organizations Worldwide Orphans Foundation (WWO) and Gilda’s Club, named for legendary comedienne Gilda Radner, which provides emotional and social support to New Yorkers living with cancer:

“We just found out that there are paparazzi outside the restaurant we were eating in so… why not take this opportunity to bring attention to organizations that need and deserve it? www.wwo.org and www.gildasclubnyc.org. Have A Great Day!”

Not that we’d expect Garfield and Stone to be the type to fly off the handle and start screaming at the paps—if anyone’s going to have a sympathetic attitude toward them it’s going to be Peter Parker himself, right?—but it’s still nice to see them harnessing their fame for good in even this small way. With great power…
