Manu Bennett. Katrina Law. Cynthia Addai-Robinson. And now Nick Tarabay. Spartacus is taking over the CW, and there ain’t nothing anybody can do about it. F*cking Gauls. (Psst. Pssssst. Lucy Lawless.)

Nick Tarabay, who played the skeevy jackass Ashur in Starz’ wonderful blood-and-nudity-o’-rama, is joining Arrow‘s third season as the hilariously named and exceedingly Australian CAPTAIN BOOMERANG. Boomie’s more of a Flash villain, but the episode he’ll be appearing in (episode 8) is rumored to be a crossover episode with The Flash, so that makes sense. Real question time: Will Amanda Waller behead him? Inquiring minds want to know. (Apologies for the poor video quality—you’ll all just need to go watch Spartacus.)

In slightly more serious casting news than a supervillain named Captain Boomerang on the CW, Boardwalk Empire‘s Jack Huston has been chosen to fill out Charlton Heston’s loincloth in director Timur Bekmambetov’s Ben-Hur remake. Morgan Freeman was recently cast as Ildarin, the wise old mentor who teaches Ben the charioteering ropes. Of course. Huston has also recently been cast as Mr. Wickham in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

Eh. I’m more excited about Captain Boomerang. And I don’t even watch Arrow. It’s my inner Sokka coming out. Also, look at this:
