If the show gets attacked by aliens, don’t worry, they’ll take care of it. It might take them a little longer than normal, though, because Black Widow and Thor won’t be there.

Wait, who are we kidding? Black Widow’s totally doing her incognito spy thing in the audience. And Thor will bust through the ceiling if Loki decides to put in an appearance.

But seriously. Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, and Samuel L. Jackson (hey, the Avengers need Fury there to keep them in line) will be presenting at this year’s Oscars, taking place on Sunday, February 24th.

Say show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron:

“We are happy to re-unite the ‘Avengers’ cast to present on our show. Audiences who enjoyed the year’s biggest box office hit will be excited to see these terrific actors back together again.”

Will there be shawarma?

Regardless of what category they end up presenting and what (likely) awful award show banter they’ll have to exchange (wait, can Joss Whedon write that…? Banter’s kind of his thing), I think it’s fair to say that RDJ will be channeling his inner Tony Stark to the max.
