The Winter Olympics in Vancouver may be hogging the Canadian sporting limelight, but we shouldn’t overlook this accomplishment of 1,200 University of Alberta students: shattering the world record for the biggest dodgeball game ever.
The U of A’s student newspaper reports:
The floor was full of green and gold Friday as 1,200 people lined up to destroy the world record for the largest dodgeball game ever … The previous world record, held by San Diego State University, was a measly 450 people.
For posterity’s sake, the game was recorded on video, and, lo! here is that selfsame video:
