Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is just a lovely person, isn’t he? We’re not sure how much of a hand he had in this decision to make the next Canadian bank note feature a prominent Canadian woman, but we’re sure glad he announced it on Twitter. What’s more, the Bank of Canada is allowing people to openly nominate a Canadian they feel deserves to be memorialized on the bank note. That’s right–it could be anybody.

Well, anybody who’s a Canadian citizen, at least. Who’s… been deceased for at least 25 years. But besides those two (admittedly large) things, it could be anybody! Definitely not you, though, sorry to say. You haven’t been dead for 25 years. Alas.

All the same, if you’re a Canadian citizen, you should check out the survey over on the Bank of Canada website. Make sure you get your suggestion in soon! Tell us: who do you want on your bank note?
