Tara, the cat who defended a young boy from a dog attack, will be throwing out the first pitch at a minor league base balls game. Wait. How?
The Bakersfield Blaze have invited the Internet feline celebrity to toss out the ceremonial first pitch at one of their basesball matches, and she’ll be joined by Jeremy Triantafilo—the young boy she saved.
Having just watched video of what is definitely an actual dinosaur and not a man in a dinosaur costume throw out the first pitch at a different basingball event, I can’t see how a cat or a small child are going to be able to do baseball over the baseball plate from the pitching hill.
What I can see happening is the cat gets loose and runs around the baseball track. There’s precedent for that:
Like… a lot of precedent:

- Dinosaur baseball is superior to boring human baseball
- Comedian Rob Delaney took over the MLB’s Twitter account
- We tried the Urinal Gaming System at a Minor League Baseball park
