But maybe not quite how fans might want to see him.

According to ProjectCasting.com, CBS are looking for “a photo double that is 5’11 or taller and has a ripped physique.” Ok, that in and of itself doesn’t really say a whole lot, but the full description reads:

We are looking for BODY DOUBLE for a DC Comic Superhero –
You must be available for an interview this Thursday and if selected will work several day during March.
This is for a CBS pilot. You can be SAG or Non-Union.
You should be 5’11 or taller and be Square Jawed
and have a ripped physique.
You must send a bodyshot, shirtless, sizes, current contact info and your first five to [email protected] – in the subject line write SUPERMAN

With the announcement of the Supergirl show, many wondered how her cousin Superman would be involved, if at all. This casting description leads me to believe the character will be more of a general figure than a character on the show. Perhaps being seen in news footage or stories rather than actively involved in Kara’s life. The site says producers are also looking for twin babies:

We are looking for Caucasian, 6-9 month old Identical Twins Boys and Identical Twin Girls for a new CBS TV Pilot. They must have a current entertainment work permit. This will work during the March. Send photos, age, contact info , a copy of permit to [email protected] – in the subject line write TWIN BOYS OR TWIN GIRLS depending on who’s be submitted.

So, baby Kal-El for Krypton flashbacks?

Just yesterday we found out Calista Flockhart was cast as Cat Grant, but what do you think of Superman’s involvement at all? It makes sense not to have him heavily involved in the show mostly from a storytelling standpoint, but also because of Henry Cavill’s prominent place on the big screen.
