Staying up an extra half hour after The Colbert Report is getting a little easier. Comedy Central is adding a nightly show hosted by Chris Hardwick to its late-night lineup. If that’s not enough to get your attention, the show is being run by The State alumni and Reno 911! creators Thomas Lennon and Ben Garant, and is being produced by Funny or Die.

The show is as yet unnamed, and Deadline is reporting that it will be a panel format, which we’ve seen from Hardwick before with his Talking Dead show. The new show will air in the 12:00 AM timeslot following The Colbert Report. It’ll likely focus on pop culture with a fair amount of social media involvement.

Listeners to Hardwick’s Nerdist podcast may have heard passing remarks about a pilot he had done for Comedy Central which appears to have been part of his deal with the network for his Mandroid stand-up special. That seems to be Comedy Central’s m.o. lately. Recent additions to Comedy Central’s lineup like Nick Kroll and Amy Schumer also both recently had hour-long specials on the network.

Hardwick’s late night show is expected to premiere in the fall and will air on the same Monday through Thursday schedule as The Daily Show and Colbert Report. Will you be watching?
