Tonight is the first general election presidential debate of 2016, with Hillary Clinton facing off against Donald Trump, and the whole world is watching—which is kind of embarrassing if we think about it too hard, like an adolescent troll’s parents finding out what they’re sh**posting on reddit. The historical significance of having a woman up there gives a nice feeling, though, which should last until the first sexist swipe lands. If you want to be part of that world (where the people are) but you don’t have cable, there are a few ways for you to watch online (legally!) for free.
Depending on where you watch, the pre-show may start an hour or two beforehand, but Clinton v Trump: Dawn of How Is This Real Life? begins in earnest at 9PM ET, 6PM PT. The debate lasts for 90 grueling minutes of watching a former lawyer, senator, and secretary of state match wits with three toddlers standing on each others’ shoulders in a suit, scream-singing America, F*** Yeah to raucous applause Donald Trump. You can watch in the YouTube embed above, or you could watch the Washington Post‘s YouTube coverage. Or Bloomberg’s.
You could also watch on Twitter or Facebook, since you’ll probably already be on one or both of them getting into fights with friends and family over it anyway. What a fun night! Or you can hang out here, watch with your fellow TMSers, and help keep each other sane.
