After nine years of truthiness and patriotic rigor, Stephen Colbert signed off The Colbert Report last night in one of the most flawless TV finales I can ever remember seeing.

If you don’t plan on sitting down to catch the whole episode on Hulu, I imagine the cast and crew’s rendition of “We’ll Meet Again” will at least be relevant to your interests—seriously, there were so. Many. Guest. Appearances. A highly incomplete list of famous people who appeared on the show last night, as well-spotted by Jezebel, includes Alan Alda, Jon Stewart, Bryan Cranston, Mandy Patinkin, Neil deGrasse Tyson, astronaut Garrett Reisman whilst in real-life space, George Lucas, J.J. Abrams, Bill Clinton, Elijah Wood, Pussy Riot, Smaug, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Ken Burns, Gloria Steinem, James Franco, and countless more politicians, artists, feminists, tastemakers, and muppets. HECK YEAH, ‘MURICA!

What did you think of the finale, gang? If, like me, you’re currently at MAXIMUM PATRIOT, feel free to relive some of Stephen’s finest moments right now.

Thanks for all the memories, you enormous nerd, you. We’ll meet again.
