There’s been some talk of legitimacy to the “six seasons and a movie” line today, so you should probably watch tonight’s Community panel that’s live streaming from PaleyFest. Community‘s Twitter teased that we’ll get something special at the panel, so what will it be? OK, probably not movie confirmation, but let us dream, all right?
The panel will include Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Yvette Nicole Brown, Danny Pudi, Jim Rash… “and more.” Starting at 10:30PM ET, you can watch the panel with your very own eyeballs over on the PaleyFest site. I’m crossing my fingers for the seemingly deliberately ambiguous “and more” to mean that Donald Glover is the “something special” they’re promising.
You can also follow along on Twitter as the cast (who you’re already following on Twitter, right?) livetweets the panel. Keep an eye on #Community and #PaleyFest to see what they’re saying. Or, just put all of their Twitter feeds up side by side on your desktop and become completely immersed in pure Community. Your call.
Now let’s wildly speculate about what the “something special” could be and set up impossible expectations. A movie? They’re picking up the MeowMeowBeenz app that Reddit is working on as an official thing? The ass crack bandit has been caught?
Anyway… There really were rumors today about a possible director choice for a theoretical Community movie, but even if the rumor is 100% true, it didn’t confirm anything more than that the idea of having Fast and Furious series director Justin Lin direct the movie had been tossed around by… someone.
Like I said, though, there’s little chance of that being the special surprise that fans get out of the panel. An appearance by Donald Glover is a lot more likely. Or, they’re just toying with our emotions. Either way, at least we can now make Fast and Furious 6 Seasons and a Movie jokes.
You can tune into the live stream over on the PaleyFest site.
