Couldn’t get enough of Jack Bauer and his terrorism-fighting antics? Well he might not be back, but 24 is – this time as an all-new, rebooted series called 24: Legacy (I feel like 24 is gonna be the new Law & Order or NCIS or CSI). Cast in the lead of the new show is Corey Hawkins, whom you may know from his star turn as Dr. Dre in Straight Outta Compton.
24: Legacy centers around a military hero named Eric Carter (Hawkins), a man whose military past comes to haunt him when he returns home to his wife in Virginia, causing him to go to CTU for assistance in stopping the largest scale terrorist attack on American soil. According to Variety, Eric is “Described as strong and smart, [he] came from a very rough background and turned his life around in the Army Rangers.”
Hawkins has been having a great year, having guest starred on The Walking Dead, in addition to his turn in Straight Outta Compton and a a role in the upcoming King Kong prequel, Skull Island. Original 24 producers Howard Gordon, Manny Coto, Evan Katz and Brian Grazer will be returning as Executive Producers.
What do you think? Will you be watching 24: Legacy?
