Anime classic Cowboy Bebop is finally getting an HD Blu-ray release in North America, and it’s coming out December 16th. Here’s the first trailer, and it looks glorious. I will be crying so many tears over this during the winter holidays, guaranteed.

And if you’re not an anime person, I totally suggest giving Bebop a go. It’s only 26 half-hour episodes and a movie, so it’s not a crazy time commitment, and it’s basically the animated version of Firefly (though it came out before Firefly, but let’s not hold anything against Joss, here). Also, it involves a super-genius corgi and a lot of jazz music. Just do it. You can thank me later.
