Good news for other forthcoming Marvel shows on Netflix: Daredevil has already been picked up for a second season, in case you weren’t sure how much everyone loved it.

The first real superhero TV show of the Marvel cinematic universe will get its second run of episodes some time in 2016, and Doug Petrie (Buffy/American Horror Story) and Marco Ramirez (Sons of Anarchy) will take over showrunning duties from season 1’s Steven DeKnight. DeKnight will stay on as an executive producer while he ducks out of direct showrunning duties due to previous commitments.

For those who really enjoyed season 1 and would be sad to see too much about the show change (read: everyone on Earth), DeKnight said, “I could not be happier that Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are carrying the torch. They were invaluable collaborators during our first season, and I for one can’t wait to see what they do with the show moving forward.”

Along with Daredevil season 2, Netflix still has AKA Jessica Jones this year, Luke Cage coming in 2016, and more Marvel shows still in the pipeline—which Daredevil has been laying the foundation for. The show’s renewal is just the latest in a streak of all of Netflix’s originals going to a second season, and everything Marvel touches turns to gold, so we can’t wait to see the MCU continue to expand on TV.
