This month marks the 100th Anniversary of Albert Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity, and over at Albert Einstein’s YouTube channel (he has a YouTube channel?!), there’s an awesome animated short over which David Tennant’s dulcet Scottish tones explain the theory in a way even non-science geeks can understand. Sure, David Tennant’s voice might still be freaking you out after his super-creepy turn as Kilgrave on Jessica Jones, but you might wanna give this a watch anyway. Just…remember that David Tennant was also the Tenth Doctor, and all will be well!

Animator Eoin Duffy does an adorable job of illustrating Einstein and his ideas for this #Einstein100 video on behalf of the Science and Technology Facilities Council in the UK, and the video talks about the basic points of warped space and time, dark energy, and dark matter. It also illustrates the fact that there ain’t no party like a physicist party, because a physicist party – much like a Time Lord party – is not bound by typical temporal parameters and, therefore, don’t stop.
