Day of the Tentacle, a time-traveling, point-and-click adventure comedy game designed by video game and geek hero Tim Schafer and industry veteran and “guy poet” Dave Grossman, was–and still is–awesome. It’s a sequel to the wacky Maniac Mansion, and featured characters Bernard, Laverne and Hoagie traveling through time to stop the evil Purple Tentacle from taking over the world. At one point, Bernard puts a hamster in a freezer in the present so Laverne, who is stuck in the future, can retrieve the hamster and thaw it so it can power a machine. If that doesn’t deserve some kind of clothing line, I don’t know what does. Luckily for us, Madrid-based artist Maya Pixelskaya, created these Day of the Tentacle Converse sneakers and a matching tie.

Some retail chain needs to pick these up so I can wear Purple Tentacle ties to important business meetings and time machine and tentacle sneakers to the gym.
