We’re in the middle of a Spider-Man news blitz, so it only makes sense that Deadpool would not want to be far behind. The sequel to the surprise (to the studio, anyway) hit just got production underway, and that means we’ve got set photos and a painfully tiny drip of details on order!

The photos over at JustJared appear to show the not-at-all-kid-friendly “hero” crashing a kid’s birthday party while only wearing a small portion of his suit—though, thankfully, with more than his “birthday suit” to make up for it:

But whose birthday party is it? Did Deadpool/Wade Wilson find out he has a child somewhere? (No one would be surprised.) Or is this more of a Ghostbusters 2 situation, where his hero skills are kind of going to waste, and he’s now performing and children’s parties for money? I’m crossing my fingers for the latter, to be honest, because there’s no way that could possibly go well for anyone but the audience.

Anyway, a few of the movie’s production code names have leaked out, as well, so expect more set photos to pop up across the internet as filming progresses. As for where other characters may find themselves during the sequel, T.J. Miller says his character, Weasel, has a storyline with Taxi Driver Dopinder that he’s apparently not even positive will make it to the final film, but he found it funny nonetheless.

Miller also mentioned that the movie will shoot through August and September, with a current release date of June 1, 2018 set bring its expanded cast—including Cable and Domino—back to the big screen.
