Deadpool Voices His Own Hilarious Deadpool Honest Trailer Because He’s Just That Meta

This Deadpool Honest Trailer is a little more special than your run-of-the-mill Honest Trailer. First of all, it’s an Honest Trailer about the highest grossing R-rated superhero flick of all time, so you know it’s likely going to be pretty filthy. And, to their credit, it hits those notes quite nicely. However, this Honest Trailer has a special surprise guest, too: Deadpool himself, Ryan Reynolds. Partway through the regular ol’ Honest Trailer schtick, Reynolds comes on as Deadpool and helps the Screen Junkies get through his own Honest Trailer. How freakin’ meta. How freakin’ Deadpool.

After the prerequisite, traditional rip on X-Men Origins, Reynolds joins in to crack Aquaman/sperm whale jokes, drop 90s references (Rhythm Nation-era Janet Jackson, anybody?), and, well, be Deadpool. It’s also great that Reynolds just casually calls Deadpool pansexual and totally corrects Vanessa’s “title,” calling her an escort, not a hooker. As well, he totally acknowledges that they lifted that Honest Trailer “Honest Names” section at the end of every Honest Trailer for the opening titles of the Deadpool movie. Personally speaking, I think the “Honest Name” they came up with for Reynolds just completely nails everything: Van Even Wilder. Yes.
