Okay, I want to see a Deadpool movie just as much as the next person, probably more, considering the fact that a randomly chosen person from the world’s population is highly unlikely to even know who Deadpool is. Now take the people who know who he is, and there are likely a significant chunk of them only know the version of the character from Wolverine: Origins, a mindless zombie crammed so full of different mutant powers we’re surprised that even he could keep them straight.

But, seriously, prospective makers of Deadpool, put your money where your mouth is.

Producer Shuler Donner popped up on the internet recently to reassure everybody that they’re still doing Deadpool, it’s still going to be the real Deadpool, and they still want Ryan Reynolds to do it, even though he’s got commitments to the yes-it’s-still-happening Green Lantern series.

We’re working on getting it ready, and presenting some things to the studio, cause we’re gonna give it a little bit of a different look. It’s a different kind of movie. If you know ‘Deadpool’…it’s true to ‘Deadpool’. So you know, it’ll be violent, and outrageous, and funny, and all that. So we’re sort of putting it all together now.

Deadpool, please go away and don’t come back until you have a script and studio backing, so that I can honestly get excited about you. Thanks.

Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
