To be fair, I don’t think I’ve ever watched an episode of Dexter, so it’s not like I was watching the Dexter fandom that closely for mashups. But I have been frustrated when people mistake me for referring to Dexter when I am, in fact, trying to allude to Cartoon Network’s classic show Dexter’s Laboratory (in which laboratory always has five syllables).

I do think Screen Junkies made a mistake here by not allowing Dexter to retain his inexplicable accent.

Susana Polo thought she'd get her Creative Writing degree from Oberlin, work a crap job, and fake it until she made it into comics. Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
