The last time the Doctor visited New York City, it turned out to be one of the most missable episodes of the new series, although it did have Andrew Garfield in it (now there’s a crossover opportunity). But this time the Doctor is going to avoid all the drama entirely by having a nice picnic, complete with one of those upscale picnic baskets with the strapped in plates. I’m sure nothing bad will happen.
Of course what this means is that the cast of Doctor Who is just, like, walking around New York, and I’m sitting here in the office typing.
And while the stars of a huge but not-generally-known-in-America BBC television show might be able to walk around NYC in their free time without tons of security escorts, they can’t remain completely undetected by members of the Who fandom, which lead to reports of some pretty adorable random encounters on the Official Doctor Who Tumblr.
Our favorite random encounter is definitely from the tumblr of this understandably breathless young lady. I’ve got some errands to run tonight, and you can bet I’ll keep my eyes peeled.
