Seven actresses recently aided the Center for Reproductive Rights by performing a series of monologues as part of the “Draw the Line” campaign, with the goal of increasing awareness about an upcoming Supreme Court decision regarding abortion rights. Elizabeth Banks, Dascha Polanco, Bellamy Young, Mercedes Mason, Mary McCormack, Retta, and Amy Brenneman read aloud a series of true stories sent in by women across the nation.

Sometimes the stories are simple and relatable, while others are much more desperate and dire. Put together, the collection of memoirs illustrate why it’s so important for everyone to have access to the medical care that they need. Big ups to the Center for Reproductive Rights for organizing the project, and to the actors providing their talents and their visibility to the cause.

You can lend your own support to #DrawTheLine via the hashtag on social media — and if you wish, you can submit your own story via drawtheline.org.
