Someone very wise once said, “Fuck you, fuck you, you’re cool, Aaron Burr, nice to meet you, I’m gonna go to another college to graduate me faster.” We were thrilled to hear that Lin-Manuel Miranda would appear on Drunk History to tell the story of Alexander Hamilton and even more excited to hear Alia Shawkat and Aubrey Plaza would be playing the roles of Hamilton and Aaron Burr, respectively.

The full episode airs November 29th, but here’s a short clip of Miranda, who drank about “3/4 of a bottle of honey whiskey” as he narrated, taking us through Hamilton’s education and time in the Revolutionary War. You expect him to break into “Aaron Burr, Sir” or “My Shot” at any moment and I definitely had Hamilton playing in my head while watching. Just as Hamilton entered the battlefield with “ridiculous gusto,” Miranda, Shawkat, and Plaza absolutely deliver and I can’t wait to see the entire episode.

For those of us who won’t be seeing Hamilton anytime soon, this Drunk History segment looks like a pretty awesome alternative.
