Your feelings towards Eliza Dushku these days are likely correlate to your feelings about Joss Whedon’s controversially received and subsequently short lived series Dollhouse. Her roles as Joss Whedon characters in Dollhouse, Angel, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer are pretty much her biggest credits, unless you’re a big fan of Bring it On (we won’t judge you).

(Except we will totally judge you, sorry.)

But if you happen to be a fan of Dushku, and a fan of Doctor Who or Torchwood, then we’ve got a nice confirmed rumor for you: she will be starring in a Torchwood spinoff series.

And here’s where the news gets a little underwhelming.

It’s not going to be a television series. It’ll be a webseries. And it’s not going to be live action. It’ll be an “animated ‘motion comic,'” with three minute episodes numbering up to ten, one for each episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day. There are no plot details at the moment, but on the bright side one of the series’ two co-writers, Jane Espensen is a veteran of Buffy, Angel, Battlestar Galactica, and Torchwood itself.

Susana Polo thought she'd get her Creative Writing degree from Oberlin, work a crap job, and fake it until she made it into comics. Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
