The Responder season 2 is just as powerful, harrowing, emotional, and memorable as ever. Chris Carson (Martin Freeman) just can’t seem to stop making the wrong choices—even if he’s often making them for the right reasons—and those around him continue to pay the price.
Chris is no closer to getting a daytime job, his relationship with his daughter Tilly (Romi Hyland-Rylands) is on the rocks, his wife, Kate (MyAnna Buring), may still make the move to London, and his night shift partner Rachel (Adelayo Adedayo) is having a hard time moving on from the domestic abuse we saw her suffer in season 1, as she tries to help her ex’s new girlfriend escape the same fate. With Franny (Adam Nagaitis) worming his way into Chris’ life, Marco (Josh Finan) having to find someone to help him raise Adele, and Casey’s (Emily Fairn) drug deal gone wrong from last season threatening to catch up with her, there are plenty of storylines left for The Responder season 2 finale to tackle.
It’s clear the final episodes of this season will be as action-packed as ever, though, as Chris finds himself in a dangerous position in this exclusive clip shared by BritBox. Tired and downtrodden, Chris seeks a fleeting moment of peace while sipping on a cuppa in a bustling, kid-filled house. When he hears a commotion on the street outside, however, he goes out to investigate, only to get pulled into a violent altercation. You can watch the clip below.
