You may have forgotten that you have an @facebook.com email address. Facebook hasn’t forgotten, and they aren’t happy that you have. That’s why they’ve up and changed the email address in your “contact info“ to the @facebook.com one. You don’t want that, do you? Neither do we, so here’s a quick rundown on how to change it back.
If you don’t see that yours has been changed yet, keep an eye out. It seems to be a rolling update, so just because it hasn’t happened to you doesn’t mean it won’t. For when it inevitably does, here are the steps.

All in all, you might not care very much what address Facebook puts in your Timeline. I don’t; thanks to privacy settings, anyone who can see my personal email probably already has a better way of getting in touch with me. Nonetheless, it’s slightly skeevy of Facebook to just go in there and mess with your contact information without either telling or asking you. Although at this point, you can’t really be surprised, can you?
