Did you know that every third person constantly opens doors incorrectly? It’s true. At least, according to this 1979 Finnish instructional video on how to open doors. Though completely silly, the video does endorse a surprisingly graceful pivot-turn upon entering a room. Just seeing it makes me think of all the opportunities to show off my grace and knowledge of door opening I’ve missed over my lifetime. I can never get those back, but thanks to this video I’ll never have to regret a poor door-opening ever again.
It is highly recommended that you turn on closed captioning for this video, lest you miss out on its insightful commentary.
