After an awesome inaugural year, Geeks OUT is excited to announce that Flame Con, New York’s premiere LGBTQ+ comic convention, will be returning to Brooklyn in August 2016!
This year’s Flame Con will be a two-day event held through Saturday, August 20th to Sunday, August 21st at the Brooklyn Bridge Marriott. According to a press release, guests for the event will include:
- Cecil Baldwin, voice of the hit podcast Welcome to Night Vale
- Marguerite Bennett, writer of A-Force, Years of Future Past, Bombshells, Batgirl, and Batman
- Aimee Fleck, Lumberjanes artist and Adventure Time: Banana Guard Academy cover artist
- Phil Jimenez, superstar writer-artist on Wonder Woman, Justice League, New X-Men and more
- Jay Justice, costumer, cosplayer, gamer, writer, actress and activist
- James Tynion IV, writer of Constantine: The Hellblazer, The Woods, and Mimetic
- Kevin Wada, comics couture sensation and cover illustrator on She-Hulk and Catwoman
- Max Wittert, fashion illustrator and creator of the hit Jean & Scott webcomic featured in All-New X-Men
- Jennie Wood, creator of Flutter and A Boy Like Me
