At a conference in Norway earlier this week, U.S. special envoy to the Arctic Admiral Robert Papp revealed that he had asked Disney to “come up with some public service announcements to tell the story of the Arctic” and global warming to Frozen‘s young fans.

What do you think about Papp’s idea to use Frozen as a teaching aid? Personally, I think it’s exciting to see the power of a fandom being taken so seriously, especially a fandom that’s particularly beloved by young girls. Perhaps Disney could be tapped to teach kids about economics, too? I imagine Kristoff the ice salesman would have some strong words to say about supply and demand.
