Channing Tatum: lip sync’er extraordinaire, apparent musical darling, and alleged kitten hater. But he once could have been a Fast and the Furious star — if not for one fateful, disastrous audition. Tatum recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to share the story of how he completely blew up (and not in the good Fast and the Furious way) his Tokyo Drift audition.

“I just really wanted to go to Tokyo,” he joked. But apparently it was so bad he “stopped in the middle of the audition.” During the audition, he actually said, “I think we’re done, right?” Ah, what might have been.

What do you think? Would you like to have seen Tatum alongside Vin Diesel and Paul Walker? He just fits, doesn’t he?!
