The International Space Station is regularly taking a lot of pictures of the planet, which would be kind of creepy if it weren’t already so knock-your-socks-off beautiful. This set of time-lapse photos takes a wide-ranging gander at all the lights the Earth has to offer, from city lights to auroras to lightning storms, which when viewed from space look unnervingly like the planet is being invaded by aliens. There are also some pretty spectacular and impressive shots of the sun rising over the planet. If those don’t make you want to be in space, man, I don’t even know what to say.
