Warner Bros has made an odd announcement regarding a certain production feature of the new Green Lantern movie.  They have warned fans not to expect to see any leaked photos of Ryan Reynold’s costume, even though filming began a month ago.  Why?

Because there is no costume.

The iconic green and black uniform of the Green Lantern Corp (one size fits all) will instead be produced entirely in CGI, with Reynolds acting out his scenes in a gray motion capture suit.  They say that this will allow the suit to “look like a manifestation of his power,” and make the multiple scenes where Reynolds changes into the suit in the blink of an eye run seamlessly.

Warner Brothers also maintained that it would be the finest superhero costume ever made, as they took their star actor’s dimensions with invisible tape measures (to be added in post), because it will visible only to the most devoted of Green Lantern fans.

Those worried about whether they will be able to view the costume, when revealed, should start ordering trade paperbacks now.  (Children under the age of 10 should on no account be allowed to view the new costume, for health reasons.)
