Not all our readers will appreciate the significance of July 1st, but for those of you who do, I salute you! (But not too vigorously. I don’t want anyone to think I’m uppity about the great and bountiful nation from whence we hail.) In honor of Canada Day, musical astronaut Chris Hadfield and his brother Dave Hadfield have released “a polite song from two brothers who are just hoping your day is going okay,” that explains the ins and oots of our great nation.
A landlocked Chris even took to Twitter to wish Canucks everywhere a very happy day:
For fun this Canada Day, my brother and I set out to make the most Canadian music video ever. How’d we do? http://t.co/TGsx9o4K6G — Chris Hadfield (@Cmdr_Hadfield) July 1, 2014
Now can you two make a video that explains “first past the post” to me?
Previously in our home and native land
- This beer fridge only opens when you sing ”O Canada’‘
- Chris Hadfield sang David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” on the ISS
- Guy rescues a baby moose, takes it to Tim Horton’s
