The Harry Potter books continue to be a popular seller for Rowling, her publishers, and bookstores everywhere, and now Apple’s getting in on the action. The series has arrived on the iBooks Store with updates and bonuses for fans who haven’t already bought them enough times.
Each book in the series is $9.99 in American Muggle money and comes with a(nother) updated cover, moving digital illustrations, and annotations added by J.K. Rowling herself. Previously only available in digital form from the Pottermore shop, the books are now available on iBooks in English in 32 countries with French, German, and Spanish versions Apparating on November 9.
J.K. Rowling said in Apple’s press release, “I’m thrilled to see the Harry Potter books so beautifully realised on iBooks for the digital world; the artwork and animations in these enhanced editions bring the stories alive in a delightful new way.”
